The Role

At Hain Daniels we are currently recruiting for a temporary Financial Accountant to cover maternity leave at our head office based in Leeds.
The Financial Accountant plays a key part in the effective and efficient operation of the group finance function
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Monthly reporting of the business results to the US parent via their reporting platform, Hyperion. To provide further information or analysis as required to the US parent for either Board review or Stock Exchange Listing requirements, at Quarter ends and Year ends
  • Management and reconciliation of US GAAP accounting entries
  • Government reporting such as National Statistics
  • Cash & treasury management including bank recs, fx management
  • Liaise with the internal and external auditors to ensure completion of the statutory accounts in a timely manner within the statutory deadlines
  • Working alongside other members of the immediate finance team to provide cover as required

What you will need for the role / what it will take

  • Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA 
  • Knowledge of direct and indirect taxes is essential.
  • Knowledge of FMCG beneficial but not essential
  • Knowledge of SOX and/or US accounting standards would be advantageous
