The Role

Hain Daniels are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Manager at our Grimsby site. In Grimsby, we manufacture fresh soups for our New Covent Garden brand and for private label. 

The role is for an period of 12 months on a fixed term contract.

Key Responsibilities

You will Lead the warehouse team so they are engaged, productive and have a clear focus on problem solving, team work and working to standards.

You will build trust through effective leadership and skill application of people management processes (investigations, attendance, recruitment, safety, performance) and open 2 way communication through daily huddles.

You will Manage the daily operational warehouse and the supply of raw materials (ingredients and consumables) and packaging to the production teams using best practices and lean tools. (Just In Time / Kanban)

You will Continuously improve standards set by executing 5S and  coaching team members. You will facilitate use of lean tools within the warehouse team to perform gap analysis on available data to understand where to focus/prioritise problem solving efforts.

What you will need for the role / what it will take


  • MS Office – can operate and use Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Food Safety Level 2
  • IOSH Managing Safely


  • Continuous Improvement Tools and Techniques – 5S, Problem Solving, VSM
  • Numerical Ability to record, analyze and interpret data
  • Technical – HACCP / GMP
  • Warehouse Management Processes and Systems


  • Experience of leading a team in a FMCG organisation
  • Able to inspire and motivate a warehouse team
  • Ableto coach and train others
  • Able to lead and inspire others to achieve challenging results
