This is to cover a period of maternity leave and will last for 12 months.
 
We produce great tasting products that al about changing the way the world eats. Our Linda McCartney meals are a leader in the plant based category.
 
The purpose of the role is to partner with the site leadership team to deliver the group people agenda.
 
The role will deliver a seamless and efficient HR service to these functions, supported through the Head of HR, central HR Support, Learning & Development, Recruitment and Payroll expertise within the team. 
 

Key Responsibilities:

Business Partnering

  • Provide practical guidance and advice to the functional leads/managers to ensure accurate business decisions can be taken.
  • Analyse effectively and articulate the broader implications and risks associated with a particular course of action. Offer a wide range of options and recognise and advise on the risk of such options.  Coincide the long-term impact of a decision both from a site perspective as well as the wider business.
Site Communications & Engagement
  • Manage the employee engagement process on site. Assist with roll out of annual engagement survey
  • Support the site communications and engagement initiatives. Deploy group and site communications
  • Deliver the group wellbeing programme on site. Spend time in the factory and the offices to build presence in order to support the workforce.

Building Capability 

  • Support the site training plan to deliver 100% adherence to plan.   Partner with GM to deliver 100% skill levels in each area. Provide feedback to direct Manager or subject specialist on identified issues in the business areas which may require learning interventions.
  • Work with specialist team to ensure the Annual Review process is completed throughout the business.  Use the annual review process to create succession and talent plans for each area

Resourcing

  • Support functional leads/ managers to ensure the recruitment portal is uploaded and accurate to ensure a swift authorisation process. Full authorisation obtained ahead of any significant processes being undertaken. Role Profiles to be created/updated ahead of recruitment activity commencing. 
  • Develop a robust interview and selection standards are applied to ensure we recruit the right people first time.  Lead the selection processes and deliver to standard.  Coach line managers on the interview and selection process.  Review probationary periods to determine effectiveness of recruitment
  • Work with line managers to ensure we have the right establishment in each area

What you will need for the role / what it will take:

  • Degree or equivalent. CIPD accredited at graduate level
  • Experience gained in a similar role, ideally within FMCG
  • Experience deploying HR change initiatives
  • Ability to influence and persuade
  • Broad range of knowledge
  • Support a culture of continuous improvement
