The Role

Hain Daniels are currently recruiting for a Production Developer to work within our New Product Development team at our Histon Site. In Histon, we manufacture a host of ambient sweet spreads and jellies for our grocery brands. These includes Hartley's jams and jellies, Gale's honey, Rose's and Robertsons marmalade's

Key Responsibilities:

Samples
  •  Organising  & distributing sample requests
  • Make repeat kitchen samples
  • Collect/ shop/ order standard and new ingredients
  • Label & pack off samples
  • Organise courier/ delivery
Concept Development
  • Ensure NPD process is followed through scope, concept & approval
  • Ensure customer & brand guidelines adhered to
  • Complete costings (where applicable)
  • Input towards customer submission forms
  • Organise panels & present to internal stakeholders (& customers where applicable)
Process Development
  • Ensure NPD Process is followed through trials & launch
  • Support  trials- set up, gathering data, post trial testing
  • Support completion of Product Files in line with procedure
  • Ensure accurate data collated, reports written & shared
Customer relationship & management
  • Communicate effectively with customer (internal & external) throughout the development process in order to maintain customer confidence 
  • Keep up to date & informed on customer expectations for Development (brand standard, NPD Procedures etc) & ensure teams are briefed accordingly
Team Work
  • Track Spend to ensure Department budget met
  • Offer support to fellow team members
  • Represent RDQ within the business by displaying Hain values
  • Effectively communicate to help actively support cross functional working
  • Help maintain clean & hygienic workspace

Education & Experience:

  • Food related degree and basic culinary skills
  • 1  years product development experience with project and people management skills 
  • Track record demonstrating timely development and delivery of commercially viable products
  • Basic financial understanding
  • Good communication and organisation skills and a proven ability to work cross functionally at all levels
