Role: Product Developer

We’re looking for a creative and hands-on Product Developer to join our RDQ team at Hain. In this role, you’ll help deliver innovative, high-quality food products that meet our safety, quality, and margin goals - following the Hain development process and standards.

You’ll be involved in all aspects of new product development, from creating kitchen samples and managing trials to supporting product launches and maintaining customer relationships. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate “foodie” with strong organisational skills and a desire to develop great-tasting, commercially viable products.

Key Responsibilities


Samples (30%)

Organise and distribute sample requests

Prepare and package kitchen samples

Source and manage ingredients

Coordinate couriers/deliveries and maintain sample stock levels

Concept Development (25%)

Support NPD projects through scoping, concept creation and approval

Ensure customer and brand guidelines are met

Complete costings and contribute to customer submissions

Organise tastings and panels for internal and external stakeholders

Process Development (25%)

Support trials and launches, gathering data and post-trial results

Maintain accurate documentation and product files

Prepare and share trial reports

Customer Relationship Management (10%)

Communicate effectively with internal and external customers

Stay informed of customer expectations and update teams accordingly

Teamwork (10%)

Support team members and represent RDQ by demonstrating Hain values

Help track department spend against budget

Maintain a clean, safe and collaborative working environment

About You

Food-related degree with basic culinary skills

Minimum 1 year of product development experience (preferably chilled food)

Proven track record of developing and launching commercially successful products

Good understanding of costing and financial awareness

Strong communication, organisational, and cross-functional teamwork skills
