Role: Site Trainer
Location: Clitheroe
We are seeking a proactive and organised Site Trainer to deliver effective induction and on-the-job training for employees across our manufacturing site. The role is key to ensuring training standards are met, competency is assessed, and accurate training records are maintained to support business, departmental, and individual development needs.
Key Responsibilities
Induction & Training
-
Induct, train, assess, and support all new employees during their first 12 weeks of employment.

Work closely with HR Specialist Advisors and Shift Managers to identify and address training needs.

Conduct competency checks against SOPs.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date training records.
-
Provide administrative support to the Training Department and Shift Managers.

Communicate effectively with trainees, line managers, and HR to ensure training requirements are met.
Training Documentation & Records

Complete and update training documentation in line with Standard Operating Procedures.

Ensure training records are accurately recorded and maintained on Papaya.
-
Ensure training acknowledgement forms are completed, signed, and correctly stored.

Maintain complete and compliant personnel training files.
Information Management
-
Ensure all training materials and information are current, relevant, and audit-ready.

Handle employee data in line with Data Protection regulations.
Continuous Improvement
Compliance & Standards

Ensure full compliance with Company and Group policies, including Health & Safety, Environment, Food Safety & Hygiene, and Employment Law.

Maintain high-quality standards, good housekeeping, and cleanliness across all work areas.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications
Essential / Desirable

Relevant education to a minimum of GCSE level.

Experience delivering and preparing training.
-
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment.

Experience working on a factory floor and reviewing Job Detail Sheets.

Data input and record-keeping experience.

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Auditing skills or willingness to train.
-
Train the Trainer qualification – desirable.
