Job Title: Business Improvement Lead
Location: (UK-based) – Must be willing and able to travel to sites across the UK 
Function: Continuous Improvement (CI) / Transformation 

About the Role:
We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Business Improvement Lead to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence across our business functions. This is a home-based role with regular travel required to various sites across the UK. You’ll partner with senior leaders to deliver productivity initiatives, optimize processes, and embed a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead and deliver a structured Continuous Improvement roadmap focused on cost savings and efficiency gains.

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute long-term business improvement strategies.

  • Identify and implement productivity projects through detailed analysis and cross-functional engagement.

  • Apply Lean manufacturing principles including Kaizen, SMED, A3 problem-solving, and deploy IL6S (Integrated Lean Six Sigma) programs.

  • Coach and mentor teams to foster accountability, high performance, and continuous learning.

  • Serve as a change agent, embedding and sustaining CI initiatives across the business.

  • Manage multiple projects using Black Belt-level problem-solving methodologies.

  • Lead training sessions in CI methods to equip teams with the necessary skills.

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or a related field.

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in operational roles or business improvement, preferably in manufacturing or similar environments.

  • Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent qualification.

  • Proven success leading CI initiatives and embedding sustainable change.

  • Strong expertise in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.

  • Excellent analytical, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Comfortable managing multiple projects and driving cultural change.

  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly across the UK.
